The Millennium Group’s Statement on Supplier Diversity

The Millennium Group’s commitment to diversity is reflected in our values and in every part of our organization, including the suppliers that we work with. In line with this commitment, our Supplier Diversity Program actively engages with small and diverse suppliers. These include businesses owned by minorities, service-disabled veterans, veterans and women, as well as disadvantaged and Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) suppliers, as part of our procurement program. We feel it is important to support economic development efforts to add jobs, advance entrepreneurship and procure services at competitive prices. This supports our strategy, helps strengthen the communities where we operate and demonstrates our aim to be a leader in good corporate citizenship.

Supplier Diversity At TMG

Since 2019, we stand strong as a dually certified, Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE), as well as a diverse supplier. Our commitment to diversity is reflected within our values and within every part of our organization, including the suppliers that we work with.

To support our community, we include the broadest range of people, ideas, products and services possible. Integral to these efforts is having a supplier network that reflects the communities in which we operate. Our Supplier Diversity program does just that – we proactively identify, promote and purchase products and services from historically underrepresented groups, including: companies owned and operated by members of minority groups, women, military veterans, people with disabilities and members of the LGBTQ community. We want to build diverse suppliers’ businesses and help them remain viable. By building and sustaining our relationships with businesses owned by underrepresented groups, we are strengthening all involved: our business, partners, vendors, customers, their business and the communities in which we both operate.

Fostering and maintaining productive, collaborative relationships is crucial to our mission, delivering “Where Service Matters.” We seek to develop and maintain strong business relationships with suppliers who have a: robust safety culture, reliable operations, strong cost-management skills, customer-centric, offer quality products and services, competitive pricing and innovative business solutions. TMG successfully contracts with several qualified minority and woman-owned business enterprises over the years. As a result of our efforts, we continue to strengthen the communities where we operate, and demonstrate our aim to be a leader in good corporate citizenship.

Industry Leadership Due to Good Business Practices

As a national provider of On-Site Business Services Outsourcing, The Millennium Group (TMG) recognizes the importance of supplier diversity in all aspects of our business and Supply Chain practices. We have made a strong commitment to leveraging diversity in all aspects of our business, including the recruitment and retention of human resources, the multi-cultural marketing of our services and engagement of a diverse supplier base. By creating sound business relationships, we strengthen economic development and viability for all parties, while providing a value-added strategy that creates a competitive advantage. The Millennium Group proactively identifies, builds relationships with, and purchases services from certified small businesses as well as enterprises owned by minorities, women, veterans, members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community, and disabled persons that can help us achieve corporate objectives.

A Strong Commitment to Supplier Diversity

The Millennium Group is committed to supplier diversity as one of the key core values that are fundamental to achieving our vision of providing superior value to our clients. Supporting diversity is essential when locating sources of services, selecting suppliers, and managing supplier and contractor relationships. Inclusiveness provides real business opportunities to traditionally underused suppliers. Diversifying our vendor base also helps enhance competition among suppliers, resulting in increasingly innovative services, improved reliability, and lower costs.

Supplier diversity expands and enhances our corporate relationships and experiences, and contributes to our ability to better understand and serve our broad spectrum of customers. Our program is designed to engage the very best suppliers including those who share our commitment to integrity, quality, and efficiency and continue to support TMG’s purchasing needs. Supplier diversity is an integral part of that equation.
